Dear Construction Industry Member:
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the Pittsburgh Builders Exchange and all it has to offer. We specialize in construction news reporting, but also offer additional industry related services. The construction related services that we offer includes access to our Planroom and 24-hour access to our Internet Planroom which includes job project information, plans, specs, and addenda. Other additional services provided by the Pittsburgh Builders Exchange include listings in our Membership Directory and Construction Buyers Guide, Retirement Plans, Group Health Insurance, a quarterly newsletter called the Builders Insider, wireless communications discounts, scholarships, social events and last but not least the Thomas “Tink” Bryan Memorial Award.
The Internet Planroom is an Internet based news service and online planroom that allows members to access the Exchange 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Internet Planroom is available in either the Level 1 or Level 2 access. Level 1 provides the member access to timely project information such as current projects out for bid, bid date and time, scope of work, project location, bidders list, apparent lows, addendum issued, and various search capabilities. This service is available to all members as a part of their basic membership. Level 2 gives you all the services listed in level one, but also allows you to view and print project plans, specifications, and addenda. The level two service is available for a two-week free trial.
The Planroom is a complete center for reviewing and preparing estimates from plans and specifications. For your convenience, plans and specs may be reserved during the day and checked out overnight, or the weekend. Should plans for a particular project not be advertised, let us know, and we will make every effort to acquire them. In addition, the Planroom has a copy service for an additional fee. Free parking and air conditioning insure a pleasant working environment.
The Membership Directory and Construction Buyers Guide is a handy reference for addresses, services, products, and building materials of member firms and addresses of design firms in our area. Advertising and additional member listings are available. Copies are distributed to each member firm, architects, engineers, developers, and awarding agencies.
The Pittsburgh Builders Exchange also sponsors various social events including annual golf outings, clay shoot, and a banquet.
The Builders Exchange of Pittsburgh has been meeting the needs of the construction industry since 1886.
